The training will be provided by Choice Defense Training, the most respected firearms training group in Eastern Idaho.  Once trained you will need to apply for your permit through whatever Idaho County is most convenient to you.  The classes start at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and continue Saturday morning.  Trail riding is available Friday before class and Saturday after class.  If you stay the whole weekend, you can apply for your permit on Monday and enjoy the additional trail riding.  Just the trails listed below will take several days if you want to hit them all.

The price listed above includes up to three nights dry camping in your RV or toy hauler at the Atomic City Trails Club and the complete Enhanced Concealed Weapons Training.  Riding trails around Atomic City is always free.

To register just call Steven Adams at 208-206-0376 or email [email protected] with the number of attendees, your name, address, and phone number.  We will use the email address you use to send details as the event gets closer.

The Big Southern Butte is a collapsed cinder cone towering over the desert valley.  There are several trails you can use to get to the butte then a great trail that allows you to drive up the inside of the collapsed cinder cone and to the very top.  It includes some of the best views in the Yellowstone Divide system of trails.

Cedar Butte is a great adventure for new riders.  It has some great steep grades, but they are far easier to ride than some of the more advanced mountain trails in the system and easily avoided if desired.  This is a great area for new riders with many enjoyable trails.  You can spend the whole day here just minutes from Atomic City.

The Atomic Run is a series of desert trails connecting Atomic City to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes.  It is an endurance ride covering apx.180 miles for a round trip.  You may choose to team up with another group to have another RV at the host location by the sand dunes to split the ride into two days, but those who complete the ride in one day will claim the honor of completing the Atomic Run.

Past the Big Southern Butte are trails that wind around the eastern boarder of Craters of the Moon.  It is unique terrain and there are interesting areas to hike along the way.  You may get to witness herds of elk, pronghorn, and other wildlife mixed among the sage brush and lava flows.  Bring your binoculars if you have them.
